We’ve collected some of the more likely questions about Fan Festival attendance you might have. If you have a question that isn’t answered here, please submit your question through the Square Enix Support Center.

If you have questions regarding the FFXIV Fan Fest that isn’t answered in any of these FAQs, please follow the directions below to email your inquiry or speak with an agent via live chat.

Q. What is the FINAL FANTASY XIV Fan Festival 2014?

A. Fan Festival 2014 is the first major event of its kind for FINAL FANTASY XIV. This global event is taking place across three different regions, in major cities such as London, Las Vegas, and Tokyo! It’s a massive event built just for fans and contains new information on the future of the game, as well as amazing opportunities to play together in both in-game and live activities. Also it’s a great place to meet up with your fellow players and win some great prizes!

Q. When and where is the FINAL FANTASY XIV Fan Festival 2014?

A. The FINAL FANTASY XIV Fan Festival 2014 will be held October 17-19, at the Rio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, NV. You can check out more information on the event location by checking the Travel Information section below. Also you can learn more about the other Fan Festival events in London, and Tokyo by visiting their respective sites at https://fanfest.finalfantasyxiv.com/na

Q. How long is Fan Festival?

A. Fan Festival is three days long, with the first day being devoted almost entirely to early registration to accommodate the large amount of attendees arriving and picking up their badges. The next two days are filled with events and activities for every attendee from morning to evening.

Q. How much are tickets to Fan Festival 2014?

A. General Admission is $120. Currently, all available online tickets are sold out. A very limited quantity of tickets will be sold on-site on the first day of Fan Festival for $135.

Q. What do I get for the price of admission?

A. Each registered attendee will receive a badge granting them Fan Festival access for the duration of each day. Each registered attendee will also receive free giveaways including a new in-game item, and other FINAL FANTASY XIV-related prizes.

Q. Are there any hotel discounts that can be applied to Fan Festival attendees?

A. Unfortunately, there are no discounts for the Rio Hotel & Casino.

Q. Is food provided at Fan Festival?

A. Beverages will be sold at the Reception on 10/17, but we recommend attendees make use of the many restaurants within the Rio and surrounding establishments.

Q. Is there an age limit for registered attendees?

A. Yes, you must be 13 years of age or older in order to register for Fan Festival 2014. Persons under the age of 13 are permitted to attend the festival free of charge, but they must be accompanied by an adult with a ticket at all times. Also, you must be a registered attendee over the age of 13 to receive exclusive items, participate in activities, contests, and giveaways.

Q. Do I have to attend Fan Festival to receive my free giveaways and in-game item?

A. Yes, you must attend Fan Festival 2014 in order to receive your free giveaways and in-game item. In-game items will be distributed via vouchers within the giveaway prize pack. We will not mail out your free giveaways in the event that you are unable to attend.

Q. Can I wear a costume to Fan Festival?

A. Yes, in fact we encourage it and hope you enter the costume contest as well for a chance at great prizes. We ask however that you do not bring edged weapons, firearms, or actual blunt weapons. Inflatable, plastic, or safe wooden items are acceptable.

Q. I'm unable to attend Fan Festival; can I be issued a refund?

A. No, all sales are final. Please ensure all of your plans are in order before ordering your ticket.

Q. Can I transfer my ticket to someone else?

A. No, tickets are non-transferable. IDs are checked at the door and admission badges are given only to persons matching photo identification.

Q. How do I purchase a VIP upgrade ticket?

A. It’s easy! Simply follow the below steps once the VIP upgrade goes on sale on Wednesday, September 17, at 10:30 a.m. (PDT).

  1. Log into your Eventbrite account at www.eventbrite.com/login. (You can create an account if you have not yet done so.)
  2. Hover your mouse over the smiley face and select My Tickets.
  3. Next to your Fan Festival 2014 ticket select View Order.
  4. In the right upper-hand corner select Transfer.
  5. VIP Transfer
  6. Click the text that reads Enter Promotional Code, and type in VIPFFXIV
  7. Select Change Ticket.
  8. Select the VIP ticket and then select Continue Transfer.
  9. Check the charges and confirm the upgrade fee of $80 by selecting Continue Transfer.
  10. VIP Transfer
  11. Confirm/fill-in your payment information for the upgrade fee.
  12. Select Pay Now and complete the transfer.

Q. Can I purchase the Moogle Attire even if I can’t attend Fan Festival 2014?

A. While the Moogle Attire isn’t sold separately, you can experience much of Fan Festival 2014’s exciting announcements, presentations, panels, and even acquire the Moogle Attire in-game item by subscribing to the Premium live stream. You can learn more about the Premium live stream here.

Fan Festival 2014 is held in the heart of Las Vegas, at the Rio Hotel & Casino, just moments away from the strip and across the i15 freeway that opens into the city.
