What is FINAL FANTASY XIV – FAN-FESTIVAL?

Fan Festival 2014 is the first major event of its kind for FINAL FANTASY XIV. This global event is taking place across three different regions, in three major cities ,London, Las Vegas, and Tokyo! It’s a massive event built just for fans and contains new information on the future of the game, as well as amazing opportunities to play together in both in-game and live activities. Also it’s a great place to meet up with your fellow players and win some great prizes!

When is FINAL FANTASY XIV – FAN FESTIVAL?

The event will take place in London on Saturday October 25th 2014.
Doors open at 10.00 and the event will close at 9.00pm.
Your ticket will give you access to the entire event from 10.00 to 9.00pm

Where is FINAL FANTASY XIV – FAN-FESTIVAL being held?

FINAL FANTASY XIV – FAN FESTIVAL will be held at “Tobacco Dock” in London.

What language will the event be held in?

As the event is being held in London and the most spoken language in Europe is English, it makes sense for us to keep things simple and run the event in English.

Where can I buy a ticket to FINAL FANTASY XIV – FAN FESTIVAL?

Is there an age limit for FINAL FANTASY XIV – FAN FESTIVAL?

Yes,You will need to be 16 years of age or older – a valid photo ID will be needed on the day in order to gain entry to the event.

How much does it cost?

FINAL FANTASY XIV – FAN FESTIVAL tickets cost £65 / €80 for a standard ticket and will give you access to the entire event from 10.00am to 9.00pm.
VIP tickets cost £85 / €104 and give you access to the Friday night VIP party. These tickets are only available at a very limited number.

What does my ticket include?

Entrance to the event from 10.00 to 9.00pm.
Exclusive FINAL FANTASY XIV – FAN FESTIVAL Goodie Bag.
Access all areas, all shows and presentations.

What will I be able to buy at FINAL FANTASY XIV – FAN FESTIVAL?

There will all sorts of food, drinks and FINAL FANTASY merchandise to tempt you throughout the event.

Can I come in Cosplay?

Absolutely! Obviously though you will not be allowed to bring anything that might be seen as dangerous or feels too like a real weapon (sorry, no real swords/axes) and anything which could damage the venue (liquids, paints, flammable materials), but we’d love to see as many people dressed up in costume as possible. We are even running a competition, so keep an eye on the FAN-FESTIVAL website for more information. Further details on the Cosplay competition can be found here.

Will there be food and drink available?

Yes, there will be a selection of amazing food and drinks available to purchase throughout the day.

Do I need to bring photo ID?

Yes, Acceptable forms of ID to prove you are over 16 include:
a photo driving licence
a passport
a national identity card

Can I bring a camera/video camera?

Absolutely, please do! We want you to have photos to remember your day! Please note that there may be some areas where the unauthorised use of photographic or recording equipment is prohibited, but we will make it clear throughout the venue where you can/cannot take photos.

Is there WiFi access?

Yes! Free Wifi access will be available throughout the venue.

Can I bring a computer?

There is no need to bring a computer as there will be a number of high-spec gaming computers available for your use.

Will there be disabled access to the venue?

Yes, the venue is set over several floors and has disabled access with lifts. If you have any special requirements please contact us ahead of the event by emailing support@ffxiv-fanfestival.com

Will there be security at the venue?

Yes, there will be a security team on-hand throughout the event to ensure everyone is safe and has a great time.

Can I leave the event and come back later?

You’ll be given a wristband when you enter, so as long as you keep that with you you’ll be free to leave/return as you please.

Will the event be recorded?

Yes, the event is being recorded and ticket holders consent to being filmed and/or photographed (including sound recording) and permit Square Enix to use such film and/or photographs as it sees fit.

Will there be a cloakroom?

Yes, you’ll be able to store any coats or bags in a designated area while you enjoy yourself.

Will there be quiet areas to relax in?

We know it’ll be an action-packed day, so yes – there will be opportunities and places to relax while you’re at the show.

Will there be first-aiders on hand?

Yes.

Getting There
We strongly recommend you check the Transport for London website for up-to-date and real-time status reports of traffic and public transport. This website also details any planned engineering works which are taking place over the FINAL FANTASY XIV – FAN FESTIVAL weekend. The TFL website can be found here.

Travelling by Tube/Underground
The underground stations listed below are closest to the venue:
Shadwell Tube Station – 5 Mins from Tobacco Dock
Wapping Tube Station – 6 Mins from Tobacco Dock
Aldgate East Tube Station – 14 Mins from Tobacco Dock

Travelling by Main Line Train/Rail
Liverpool Street (1.6 miles) – Also connected to Underground Stations
Connects to the Underground on the Central, Circle, Metropolitan and District lines.

Kings Cross (3.7 miles) – Main line rail services from North London, northern Home Counties and Northern England.
Connects to the Underground on the Northern, Circle, District and Metropolitan lines.

Waterloo (3.5 miles) – Main line rail services from South West London, southern Home Counties and South West England
Connects to the Underground on the Northern, Jubilee and Waterloo & City lines

Paddington (6.3 miles) – Main line rail services from West London, western Home Counties and the West of England
Connects to the Underground on the Circle, District, Metropolitan and Bakerloo lines.

Victoria (4.9 miles) – Main line rail services from South/South West London, southern Home Counties and South West England
Connects to the Underground on the Circle, District and Victoria lines.

Travelling by Plane
City Airport – Underground lines directly into central London via the DLR.
Stansted Airport – Direct mainline train services into Liverpool Street are available.
Gatwick Airport – Direct mainline train services to Victoria underground/mainline station.
Heathrow – Direct mainline services into Paddington underground/mainline station.

Travelling by Road
Please note that parking in London is exceptionally difficult so you are advised to use public transport where possible.

Tobacco Dock is easily accessible from the M25, M20, M2, A3, A12, A13, M1, M11, A406 (North Circular) and the Blackwall Tunnel.
